WHAT IS REVERSE OSMOSIS TREATMENT SYSTEM ?
Reverse Osmosis (reverse osmosis) is the phenomenon of equalization of ion concentrations by osmotic pressure of two solutions with different ion concentrations and a semipermeable membrane between them. To reverse this event, when a pressure greater than osmotic pressure is applied with a pump, the membrane, which is semi-permeable and has holes in the size of 5 angstroms, passes only pure water; By keeping bacteria, projects, organic materials and heavy metals, it purifies the water in certain proportions.
The membrane filtration process for the purification of pure water, which separates all the unwanted minerals in the water applied to the waters where conventional treatment systems are insufficient, is called reverse osmosis. Working principle of the reverse osmosis system; Thanks to the membranes on the device. Water is forced to pass through the pores on the membranes under high pressure. During this process, while water molecules and some inorganic molecules can pass through these pores, most of the substances in the water cannot pass through these pores and are excreted as concentrated water.
Reverse Osmosis Working Principle:
Reverse Osmosis working principle is as follows.
Primarily, the raw water is purified from sediment, chlorine and lime, which may damage the membranes. Sand filter and water softening device are used for these processes. Upon entering the reverse osmosis system, softened and cleaned water is pressurized at least 2 to 3 bars and the reverse osmosis device is entered. Here, final filtering is done with 5 micron precision from cartridge water filters and then antiscalant chemical is added to the water. Chemical addition dosing process is done with automatic pumps. Processed water is increased to the pressure specified in the project design and pumped to the membranes thanks to the high pressure pump. The membrane creates a physical resistance to hydraulic pressure and only water molecules can pass through the membrane. The ions on the concentrated side are continuously discharged into the waste water channel with some water.
